Sexual Abuse Cover

The protection of children and vulnerable adults is the responsibility of those entrusted with their care particularly in organisations whose employees or volunteers interact frequently with them.

The human, reputational and financial impacts of an allegation or act of sexual abuse can be mitigated within the first hours and days, but only if the response is handled correctly.

Total immunity from risk is impossible, however it’s important for organisations who face such risks to implement appropriate risk management and proactive crisis response services, as well as effective insurance in case of an incident.

Cyber Insurance

In this digital age, Cyber attacks are an everyday risk faced by all organisations that manage personal data, and are truly a global issue.

They can happen any time often leading disastrous outcomes not only for the people who have had their information stolen, but also for the organisation experiencing the breach from a legal, financial and reputational stand point.
As more organisations store sensitive data on digital networks, these attacks are frequent and can occur quickly without warning. However, ransomware can be avoided with the right IT security and risk management procedures.
How Attackers can access your sensitive data:

1. Initial compromise of your environment

The most common ways of gaining access to your personal online data is via phishing campaigns or through your Remote Desktop Gateway.

2. Malware is installed

The user opens the attachment and malware is unknowingly installed on the user’s PC, giving the attackers access to your sensitive data.

3. Ransomware is deployed

Attackers deploy a strain of ransomware to your network encrypting a material portion of your estate, completely or partially disrupting parts of your business.

4. Extortion

Attackers demand money for the encryption key. Business reputation is damaged and potential fines incurred if mishandling of customers data is determined.
It is imperative that if a breach occurs, you have measures in place for immediate action to be taken. To combat this growing risk, Sportscover in conjunction with Beazley have launched Cyber Breach Response (CBR).
CBR is the industry leading solution for data privacy and security risk management
Providing a range of services, CBR is designed to help your organisation at every stage of the investigation and response to an actual or suspected data breach incident effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with the law. These services include…
CBR also provides a Risk Management Portal with tools and services designed for risk awareness and reducing the risk of a breach from ever occurring.

Watch the short video below about how Sportscover’s CBR can provide you with comprehensive protection from Cyber attacks.

You can also read more about Sportscover’s CBR here.

The CBR Process:

If you believe that you have experienced a breach of personal data, do not wait. It is critical that you act immediately to minimise the potential risk to both you and anyone impacted.

A single call to the Beazley Response Team of a suspected data breach will begin immediate activation of the above services.

The following short video provides an overview of the CBR investigation and response process from the moment a potential data breach is identified within an organisation.
