Lloyd’s Underwriter joins Sportscover Europe


Specialist Lloyd’s Underwriter Stephen Kiedish is taking up the role of Senior Development Underwriter with Sportscover Europe from Monday 26 June 2017.
Stephen has worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years and has focused on insuring sports and leisure clients globally for the last 10 years. He has been underwriting in Lloyd’s for the past nine years, most recently with ProSight Syndicate 1110, where he was responsible for sport, leisure and property classes of business including oversight of all Group ceded property business into the syndicate. Prior to that he was with Aegis Syndicate 1225, where he focussed on amateur sports business, and earlier worked in several major London company insurers.

“I am delighted that Stephen has decided to join us. He is a highly experienced underwriter in our specialist field and has a real penchant for business development. His previous experiences have enabled him to understand and create insurance products that are bespoke to both the sports and leisure industry and so he will be a tremendous asset to our team”.
Stephen will be writing business in Sportscover Europe’s offices in Cornhill, London, close to the Lloyd’s building.

Stephen used to be actively involved in coaching and practising Muay Thai and was a member of the International Amateur Muay Thai Federation. He has since hung up his gloves in favour of his badminton racket and he is also a keen cyclist.

Stephen is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII).
