Sportscover is delighted to announce that Roger Draper has accepted an appointment as a non-executive director on the Sportscover Europe board. Roger is the current CEO of Warrington Wolves and has previously been CEO of Sport England and the Lawn Tennis Association, so has an excellent track record of successfully operating at the very highest levels in sport in the UK. He is a former England students’ rugby league international and also worked as a development manager for the sport in London at the start of his career in sports administration.
Roger is an outstanding CEO who has demonstrated strategic and inspirational leadership and delivery of change in high profile sport. Whilst CEO of the LTA, Roger led the radical transformation of the Association including a complete restructure of the organisation including a new commercial strategy and programme, the introduction of Talent ID and a new player development pathway.
A skilful and adept communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills, Roger operates across the broad and diverse mix of stakeholders involved in sport, including the front line of players, coaches, parents, fans and the media.
