Sportscover continues sports services expansion with launch of Sportscover Vital Sportscover is continuing its expansion into providing a wide range of sports services by introducing a new risk management and communication tool for all sports teams, clubs and associations.
Sportscover Vital is the vital risk management and communications system with an app interface for all sports teams, clubs and associations. It automatically keeps medical and emergency details up to date for sports clubs and associations who have a duty of care to their members. These highly important details are instantly available to authorised people such as coaches, managers and trainers on their mobile devices so that in the event of an emergency they will know who to call, what to do and what to tell ambulance and medical staff regarding the medical history of the injured player.
Sportscover Vital also automates the collection of other custom team information and provides instant communication with team members when arranging team training and other activities such as interstate tours or social events, making managing a team’s activities as simple as sending one text. David Lamb, Sportscover Australia’s CEO said; “We are really excited about the launch of this new risk management system. The response from sports associations that we have spoken to so far is phenomenal. It is clear from the conversations they had with us in the development stage that they feel that this will bring tremendous benefits in the management of teams at all levels and will greatly assist them to administer their duty of care to their members.”
Chris Nash, Managing Director of Sportscover commented, “ When I first saw the system being demonstrated I was blown away with how simple to use but effective it is in solving a real issue for organisations that have a number of members to which they owe a duty of care. But I was particularly excited at its application in sport, so much so that Sportscover has signed an exclusive deal to provide a unique Sportscover Vital version to sports associations in many parts of the World. “Recognising our core value proposition was an un-paralleled knowledge of sport we set out to diversify our business a couple of years ago and to provide additional noninsurance services that sports need. The successful delivery of this unique tool is a giant step down that path and a new independent division is being established to provide the new sports services”.
Sportscover Vital is initially being offered to sports associations, leagues and teams in Australia, the UK, Ireland and New Zealand, but with plans to provide this to associations in other countries eventually. It is one of a series of new sports services that are being introduced by Sportscover to complement its core insurance products, including the ‘My Sport Live’ live streaming service to sport that is rapidly expanding in Australia.
“We see this as the future for Sportscover. We have the knowledge, expertise and relationships to provide a range of services in sport that will be able to add real value to sport in addition to our core insurance products. There will be more announcements of our continuing expansion in the area in the near future,” added Chris Nash.
